This weekend, from Thursday all the way to yesterday at 8 I was over at Dallas, Texas for a special event called "Celebracion". I was called upon this event because I was a finalist at the "Great Debate" tournament last summer. To be honest I really didn't like "Celebracion" that much as the Great Debate, but I did get some good stuff out of the trip.
I bought some presents for my friends who had a birthday celebration last week, which were three. It was Mariana Lara, Marifer Cerna and Marcos. This is what I got each one:
-I got a t-shirt, a hat, an inside-out mug and a Harry Potter gift set for Mariana.
-A Cap that reads "NO RIGRETS" and a t-shirt that reads "Sarcasm is the body's way of dealing with people's stupidity" for Marifer.
-And a Deadpool (look it up) wallet for Marcos.
I also bought this cool BB-8 robot from the "Star Wars" franchise that is simply too awesome not to love. I'll put a picture below:

I also bought something for Ms. Miller (English Teacher) who was very ill for several days and seemed to need a 1up. I got her a T-shirt that has puns regarding Edgar Allan Poe, which combines literature and puns.
Regarding to work, well, I didn't really enjoy it. We were only able to go to certain places within the hotel and the work meetings were sooo boring! I did almost all the work with the help of this 19 year old guy in my team... and yet Cesar Menchaca wins the medal for participation. Now, Cesar is a good friend of mine and I don't hate him, but I seriously just feel so shut down because I tried to do something good for the team and he, who was lazy the whole time, wins the participation medal.
No clue, honestly, but I guess it's not always fair.
Thank you for reading, I'll have another update soon and I hope that one ends on a higher note.
